During my days as an intern at Wieden+Kennedy NYC, I would often find myself with no work to do, and a desire to learn hand-drawn animation. So, I came up with a challenge. Every Monday I would put a box up on the bar at the office with a sign telling people to write down an adjective, noun, and verb on a slip of paper. At the end of the day, I would read through all the entries and choose my favorite. By Monday of the next week, I would have it animated. I would post it on our in-house production studio's Instagram, and we'd send it off to the agency.

Below are some of the results.

SNEAKY RUSSIAN DANCING

SALSA CAT DANCING

JOLLY JASON DANCING

I took a video of Jason dancing, printed out every other frame, doodled on each frame, scanned the doodled frames back into the computer, positioned it all in After Effects, and then threw some music on it. Fun fact: there was no music playing when I filmed Jason dancing. Beyonce obviously just runs deep in his blood.
